Cello-Ensemble

From the stage of 'advanced beginner' on, my students are invited to meet under my guidance and make music together while getting to know different musical styles.
Pieces are chosen according to the abilities and wishes of the students: a recent favourite was the arrangement of a Scott Joplin ragtime for four celli, but baroque and romantic pieces have also been performed.

The joy of playing and shaping a piece together is in the foreground, but ensemble work gives its participants the wonderful opportunity of being part of a greater whole and getting to know a piece from the inside.

My own orchestra and ensemble experience help students learn the skills and confidence necessary for performing in an ensemble.
